Thank you for taking the time to explore my work!
I'm a fine art photographer born and raised in Los Angeles, where the ocean has always been a constant in my life. It has been a place of adventure, reflection, and renewal, and that lifelong connection is what inspires my abstract coastal photography today.
Rather than simply documenting the landscape, I'm drawn to capturing the feeling of being near the water—the calm, the movement, and the ever-changing light that invite us to slow down, breathe, reconnect, and find peace. My hope is that these photographs allow others to experience a little of what I feel every time I'm standing at the ocean's edge.
Many of the pieces you see here are created using Intentional Camera Movement (ICM), a technique in which the camera
is deliberately moved during the exposure. Rather than freezing a single moment, I use movement to reveal the ever-changing relationship between light and water. The result is imagery that explores emotion over documentation, transforming light, water, and color into expressive, painterly photographs. Every image is created in-camera, making each one unique and
impossible to replicate exactly.
One of the questions I'm asked most often is, "Are these photographs or paintings?" I love that question because it means someone has paused, looked a little longer, and experienced the image with curiosity. If my work encourages people to see the familiar in a new way—or simply brings them a moment of peace—then it has done exactly what I hoped it would.
Thank you for being here.
I hope you enjoy the collection.
