My family and I had a staycation a while ago. We moved back to California from Washington State right before covid hit and even though I had lived in Los Angeles my whole life, I didn't know Orange County very well. We decided to do a local staycation and be tourists in our new town.

One morning, we went out to breakfast and there was a long wait. I happened to have my camera and started taking pictures of some cacti. At first I was taking conventional pictures but then I started using multiple exposure  and intentional camera movement and really liked where it went.

I found it to be quite challenging - the movements have to be so subtle and the amount of exposures took adjusting. But I loved the result when I managed to get one that "worked".

I've continued taking shots of agave recently and it has been a really fun way to switch things up.
